Professional Advisor - Architecture

You will coordinate the review and implementation of certain construction projects submitted to the Urban Planning Department. You will advise the Department's management on land use planning (construction, architectural integration, zoning, etc.).

More specifically, you will be required to:

• Analyze the compliance of site and architectural integration plans (PIIA), integrated projects, special projects, or others aimed at issuing permits while ensuring the application of urban planning regulations (zoning, construction);
• Meet with developers, contractors, or architects to inform them of the corrections needed for their plans and specifications regarding building safety, construction details, aesthetics, interior or exterior design, etc.;
• Guide individuals or groups (taxpayers) seeking information about architecture and zoning in Laval;
• Participate in the internal management meetings of the Department, providing all relevant information regarding your area of expertise and ensuring follow-up on decisions concerning your sector;
• Participate in the development and implementation of comprehensive planning studies and land use planning, architectural proposals, the development of regulatory projects required to achieve municipal objectives in land use planning, and the revision of the land use plan and construction regulations.

• Hold a bachelor's degree in urban planning or architecture / architectural sciences and a master's degree in architecture;
• Be a member of the Ordre des architectes du Québec;
• Have four (4) years of experience in the design or analysis of real estate development projects;
• Experience in heritage is considered an asset.
